Harald Braun was on Jim Cramer's "Mad Money" last week to explain the bad quarter that Aviat Networks had. You can tell he'd much rather be somewhere else during the questioning. If there's no good news next quarter I doubt our stock will still be above $6.

I watched an excellent short animated film this morning called Logorama that was done by a French design team. Almost every visual element in the 15-minute long video is a brand or logo of some sort. Superbly creative, foul language, and pretty funny. Ronald McDonald is the bad guy. It keeps getting pulled from the online streaming sites because it hasn't been officially released yet.

I finally have a buyer for my ELT speakers. They've been on craigslist for several months now with no response. av123 isn't a common brand by any stretch of the imagination. This guy heard about them from a friend and came over to listen to them this afternoon. I had plenty of work to do from home anyway. This weekend is supposed to be snow-free, but the roads may ice over in spots. The crews put out brine yesterday and today. Monday is a holiday from work so I've got a 3-day weekend. I'll probably stick around home on Monday since it is supposed to be rainy.

Woot's got a $650 knife set for sale today. Good luck with that guys.

The snow has almost completely melted from the storm that hit NC last weekend. It snowed about 5 inches here in North Raleigh, enough to keep most people off the roads until late Monday. I holed up for the weekend and did some stuff around the house. Sunday it was nice and sunny but cold enough that not much melted. I walked down the street to Subway for lunch and there were a number of people out and about. I saw a guy go driving by on his 4-wheeler with a case of beer sitting on the cargo rack. On Monday I didn't try to drive to work until 2pm because the road by my house was icy in the morning. Still saw a couple wrecks when I drove home that night.

We got some new servers at work yesterday that I will be setting up for the NOC. Dell R710s with the Nehalem Xeons and a few new features that make life easier for sysadmins.

I'll be volunteering at CCI this weekend. 40% chance of snow tomorrow in Mebane, but nothing that should stick to the ground. Adam and Tammy are getting pounded with another snow storm in Annapolis. Wunderground is saying more than 2 feet of snow expected for them. No wonder they want to move south again.
