Went to the Q3 Varrow "oil change" on Monday at Bryan Park in Greensboro, had a good time hanging out with my coworkers and getting updated on the status of the company as a whole. I've been with them long enough now to get a quarterly bonus so that was a nice perk.

This week I've been working at High Point Regional Health System, they got a new Cisco UCS cluster that is being set up to support an Imprivata proof of concept.

In the first half of September I'll be moving from North Raleigh to Mebane. I decided to move out there since it is a more central location to Greensboro and Raleigh, and I go to Mebane almost every weekend anyway to volunteer so it will cut down on driving time there. I found a nice rental house that is more expensive than the current place, but it also has a lot more space and it is in a golf course community. My lease officially starts August 27 but I am not moving in immediately, probably a week or two afterwards. The new place is being managed by a real estate firm in Mebane, so I will be dealing with them instead of directly with the homeowners.

The office building at CCI has been coming along nicely, it is just a few weeks away from being ready to certify for occupancy. John and Janine have been working very hard to push through the last remaining tasks. Julia's been working on getting things that she needs for the new gift shop, and I will have to finish the phone and network setup once the painting is done and desks are placed. The deck should be finished soon, however the parking lot is going to have to wait for more donations to come in.

I've been watching the news lately to see what plays out with the debt ceiling negotiation mess going on right now in Congress. President Obama has been advised not to make an executive order based on the 14th amendment, so the game of chicken between Democrats and Republicans continues. The most recent roadblocks to progress appear to be coming from Tea Party GOP representatives, who have now turned against House Speaker Boehner. Khan Academy has added some new videos about the debt crisis situation that are very helpful.
