Yesterday in the car I heard a funny song on the country station called International Harvester by Craig Morgan. He's got a couple others one I like called Redneck Yacht Club and Little Bit of Life.

My trip to visit RTP is booked. June 27th through July 1st. Going to fly up from Orlando on Southwest direct to RDU airport. Renting a car at Hertz and staying at the La Quinta in Durham just north of RTP.

Waiting for Andrew to finish cooking some monster burgers. We had some leftover ground beef that has to be used up today or be thrown out... so huge burgers it is. It was raining on and off today; the last few weeks have been very wet.
Still in a holding pattern for the relocation. I don't really want to spend any time looking at housing options yet, even though lots of people at work have been asking if I found a place yet. Also they sent out an email query today to see if anyone had taken their free househunting trip yet. I don't believe anyone has.
Apple announced some cool stuff today. New iPhone 3GS will be out soon with a list of upgrades, the 13" Macbook has been renamed to a Macbook Pro, supposedly because of the aluminum casing. Everything else about it stays pretty much the same. OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard upgrade will only be $29 for current users of the Leopard operating system.
One side benefit of living here is that I get to take advantage of Andrew's Amazon.com Prime membership. Free 2 day shipping and no annoying waiting period like they've been doing for super saver shipping. I had to order some salmon oil today for the cats, and also picked up a couple CDs. I heard the song "I Run to You" by Lady Antebellum on the radio this past Saturday and decided to get the debut album.
On Thursday evening we are having a company-sponsored dinner at Makoto's Japanese steakhouse. It's a "going away" dinner of sorts for the people who got RIFed. Friday is their last day. Adam is looking forward to it at this point... he wants a break from work and the interviews I think.

Making good progress at work. Now we've got 64 virtual servers running on the 2 Dell physical servers. Getting close to needing a 3rd one though. Everything is due to be packed and moved by the weekend of July 4th now. Meaning Felipe, Doug and I probably will not be enjoying the weekend off.
The new roommate moved in last Thursday and he seems to be a pretty cool guy. I've been doing the volunteering thing on Saturdays, and we saw the new Terminator movie this past Sunday.
