I'm enjoying some of The Office tonight.

I think I'm starting to like country music more. I bought the new Rascal Flatts album this week (ok they aren't really very country), but Adam let me borrow a couple country SACDs that he bought and I must say there are some aspects of the genre that are very appealing. The Toby Keith one came highly recommended.

Tonight we kicked off Prison Break and Heroes over at Nate's place with some burgers and brats. They actually premiered yesterday but he wanted to cut the commercials out.
Earlier today I discovered that my front right speaker in the car was wired out-of-phase with the rest of the speakers way back when Circuit City did the initial installation. Rather than try to take off the door panel, I removed the head unit and modified the wiring harness so that the polarity would be switched. Then I forgot to replace a couple pieces of plastic so it looks like tomorrow I'll have to pull it out again.
Two weekends from now, on Oct 6th, Adam and I are headed across the state for the day-long Audioholics event at Clearwater Beach. Nate and Ryan were supposed to go as well but other things came up that conflicted. We are going to learn some tips from the pros and hear some excellent demo rooms.

Relaxing on a Saturday night enjoying some "Animals" from Pink Floyd and doing homework. The cats woke me up at the wholly inappropriate hour of 8am (at least for Saturday) so I had a nice 4-hour nap earlier. I went for a drive over to campus to walk around for a bit and see the new dormitory construction, which is supposed to be finished by next fall semester.
After my boss insisted that Napoleon Dynamite is one of his favorite comedies, I decided to give it another shot since last time I only saw the first hour and wasn't in a comedy mood. I enjoyed it more this time, although the humor is definitely off-key and not for everybody. Some of the best parts are subtle and situational so it can be hard to catch all of them, for instance when Napoleon and Kip go to the free Rex-Kwan-Do session and afterwards Kip declares that it was a rip-off.

Cracked.com rates the 10 Best Animated Movies for (Traumatizing) Kids. It gets pretty crazy by #2. Nice little Wesley Willis song in the #1 video clip.
"As part of the deal, Disney agreed to release all of the studio's upcoming films uncut, unedited, and, evidently, unneutered."

I strongly recommend the endless pasta at Olive Garden. I went there for lunch today with some people from work and it was really crowded (so the secret is out I guess). The trick is to go hungry enough to finish the first (large) bowl of pasta, so that they bring you a refill bowl and more breadsticks. Then you can take that home in a to-go box.
My boss is on vacation from work all next week so he had to dig up some stuff for me to work on. It's nice to have a real project instead of just doing little tasks as they come up. Salary planning is in the finishing stages but I have no idea whether I'll see much of any change since I've only been full time for a little while.
The kittens, which are still growing rather quickly, had their last shots yesterday so now they can avoid the vet for a year unless something bad befalls them. Most of the time they are really sweet but last night they wanted to play at 2am so I had to shut them out of the bedroom.
Yesterday I made my own hot wings with the BWW sauce and I think it's a lot of work for little payoff. 15 minutes of boiling, 15 minutes of baking, then all the cleanup associated with it. I only saved about $1 compared with Pizza Hut and that's not counting the electricity. All the while two cats are acting hungry although they just ate 10 minutes ago.

It's almost 3am and I'm editing audio files. I got back home from Nate's a little before 2am, had to feed the hungry kitties, and need to hydrate myself before falling asleep. Good party though, I learned a new game. We ended the evening with A Clockwork Orange, which surprisingly I had not seen yet.

From icanhascheezburger (must see this before you will get the joke):

Last night Ryan, Ashley, Adam and his girlfriend came over to watch Casino Royale and see the kitties. I enjoyed the movie at the theater the first time and it was just as great on DVD.
Today Nate's having a BBQ / Housewarming party so I'm headed over there at 2pm to hang out and drink.

After getting through the weekend smoothly, Lazula was sick again today; she had some visible eye discharge. Saphira is still 100% fine though. This time it might be from the vaccination, going to take her in to the vet tomorrow and see what's up.
Yesterday I went over to Matt's place to watch TMNT... it was mediocre. The soundtrack wasn't bad though. I ordered House Season 3 from Amazon since they were $6 cheaper than Wal-Mart, should be getting that on Wednesday. Season 4 starts in two weeks.
TIME magazine lists the 50 Worst Cars of All Time.

From digg.com: How to hide an airplane factory. I think that is really cool.
Lazula wasn’t feeling well earlier this week but she was doing much better yesterday so both of them got a booster shot at the vet. Rabies one in two weeks and then they are done. Saphira is already over 3lbs, Lazula trailing behind around 2.4lbs.
A US government field rep came by today to ask me some questions about Ron, who is trying to get a secret clearance.

Yesterday was special... my Kia odometer hit 88888 miles. It wasn't quite as exciting at 77777, and unfortunately it also means I need to have the 90k service soon. The temperature outside was perfect after the storms passed over central Florida; on the drive back home I had the windows down and it was almost bordering on cold.
Nate's girlfriend was in town this weekend so they came by to see the kittens yesterday and we went over to Woody's restaurant for BBQ dinner. After that we headed back to watch The Matrix Revolutions. It was ironic that they wanted to watch that movie, because Saturday night I was over at Andrew's house watching The Matrix Reloaded HD-DVD. I had spent most of Saturday redesigning my living room layout and it was a real pain to reconnect all the audio equipment.
Today I'll probably just be sitting around and watching House episodes :)
